Butler's Tray 2017
Light and versatile for permanent or occasional use.
On most butler's trays the tray can be removed from the stand below but see no 9 below
Can be made so the height is adjustable, thus enhancing its versatility
If made height adjustable, you can see that the lower the height the longer the tray needs to be to accommodate the spreading legs. To avoid this, go for a lower stand than the standard 30'' (76cm)
Folds away quickly and neatly using minimum space.
Average dimensions: H 30'' L 22'' W 15''

Most of the butler's trays have fixed height which is determined by the straps on the top of the stand. See below.
By not using fixed length straps it's possible to give the stand a varying height capability
Though normally rectangular, the tray can be also be round or oval as shown in no 8
The tray need not have sides, as in no 8. It then becomes a fold down table, best with a hinged top as explained below. See no 9 and 9B

No 9 below has a fixed tray. The legs fold together and the tray drops down. Note the connector on top of the right leg which allows the tray to swing down.
Can be made adjustable, but you can see that the lower the height the longer the tray needs to be to accommodate the spreading legs.
